Adjust Crate Inventory

When tracking crate inventory, it's inevitable that adjustments will need to made. New crates will need to be added when they're received from the vendor, old crates will need to be removed when they're disposed of, and sometimes a counting mistake will need to be corrected. making sure that events like this are recorded in FlexiBake will not only help the system to accurately track the crates, it will also allow you to review the history of your crates to help inform packing and ordering procedures.

To adjust crate inventory:

  1. In the upper menu bar, open the Activities menu
  2. Select Shipping Related, then click on Maintain Crates
  3. Click New Adjustment
  4. Select if you are adjusting Route crate inventory or Warehouse crate inventory
  5. Select the route or warehouse that you would like to make the adjustment for
  6. Select the Adjustment Type
    • Adjust On Hand - This option allows you to set the current inventory level or a crate type to a specific number. This is generally used during cycle counts.
    • Take-On - This option allows you to indicate the number of crates you would like to add onto your existing inventory. This is used when first setting up crates to indicate starting inventory, or to add newly purchased crates into inventory.
    • Deduction - This option allows you to indicate how many crates to remove from the existing inventory. This option is generally used to take damaged crates from circulation when they're thrown out.
  7. The grid at the bottom will contain a list of crate types. The Expected column indicates the current balance of the corresponding crate type for the selected route or warehouse.
    • If doing an Adjust On Hand type adjustment, use the Actual column to record the true current balance for the selected route or warehouse
    • If doing a Take On or a Deduction type adjustment, use the Quantity column to indicate the number of crates being added or removed from inventory.
  8. Once you have entered the desired adjustments, review carefully to ensure everything is correct then click OK to apply the changes.
