Analyse Costs: Product Costs

Knowing how your costs have changed over time is a valuable insight to your company's evolving profitability. FlexiBake leverages your purchasing and receiving history to give insight on how your current product costs compare to the past, which is a valuable tool when determining if and when to implement price changes or determine where costs might be reduced.

To view an analysis of your product costs:

  1. Start in the Analysis Centre, find and select Product Costs from the Analyse Costs button.


  2. Product Costs will open and can be configured to either display the historical cost as/at, or the average cost since the specified date.


  3. Any changes to the radio button or dates will be reflected in the Historical Cost column in the grid below once you press refresh.


  4. The type of cost to be displayed may be updated by changing the selected cost through the display dropdown.


  5. You may get a more detailed capture of the products costs by double-clicking into the record. This will display a secondary window showing the quantity and cost of each material used to produce that product

    This detailed view will be based on the same radial and display setting and will respectively display Ingredient or Packaging data associated with the product.
    • Labor Data is not included in this detail method.


  6. You may Print or Export this data by using the buttons in the top right corner.


  7. Press Close when you are finished to return to the Analysis Centre.
