Calculated Nutrient Values
In FlexiBake, if you have entered Nutrient Values for your Raw Materials you can calculate the change in Nutrient Breakdown as the items are processed through Recipes into a final product. For this to work, we must set on each record that we would like it to calculate.
This is the default state of the Nutritional Analysis Tab in Recipes and Products, and will adjust the nutrients based on Water/Fat Loss or Gain, and through the addition of other materials at later stages.
If you would rather use pre-determined values for your Nutrients, please see the article titled: Set and Use Stored Nutrient Values.
To calculate Nutrient Values, first you would need to set up Nutrients on your Raw Materials, please see Set Ingredient Nutritional Information, choose a product or recipe to audit, and then follow these steps:
- Enter the Recipe or Product Record you would like to ensure is calculating, and navigate to the Nutritional Analysis Tab.
- Beside the Nutrient Breakdown per 100g, there's 2 radial buttons which dictate whether this record is calculating the Nutrient Breakdown or pulling from a previously entered Stored Value. Select Use Calculated Nutritional Values.
- Once selected, press the Calculate Button then OK to save your changes. You have successfully marked a record to calculate nutrients!
Audit each stage or step in the record chain to ensure they're all marked as Use Calculated Nutrient Values. If you have an early recipe in the chain marked as stored, none of the downstream recipes will calculate as the tool requires all options to be set the same!
