Copy a Shadow Order

Copying a shadow order first requires that you have an existing shadow order. Instructions on creating a new shadow order can be found in our tutorial article Create a Shadow Order.

You may want to send a new customer some items that similar customers order, or you may want different locations of the same chain to have access to the same list of items in the online ordering portal. In both of these cases, copying an existing shadow order with save you time and effort.

To copy the contents of a shadow order from another shadow order, follow these steps:

1. Access the Sales Centre then click Maintain Shadow Orders.
   
   
2. In the top left corner, select the Customer that you would like to Copy To from the drop-down menu.
   
   
3. Click Copy From. 
   
   
4. A dialogue box will appear on screen. Select the customer that you would like to copy the shadow order from using the drop-down menu.
   
   
5. Click OK to close the dialogue box                                                                                                                                 
6. The copied order contents will populate in the grid and be automatically saved.
