Create and Generate an Alternate Standing Sales Order
The holiday season brings along its own set of food trends that customers expect to see: apple pie treats, eggnog drinks, Pumpkin Spice everything, the list goes on. To cater to the demand, your customers may want to change their standing orders to reflect these trends, but only for the season.
Rather than changing their standing order and having to change it back at the end of the season, you can use an alternate standing order. This way, their regular standing order remains on file, and you save yourself or your staff some work.
Creating an Alternate Standing Sales Order:
- Log into FlexiBake, select the Sales Centre and enter Maintain Standing Sales Orders.
- Before selecting a Customer, or adjusting Product Quantities, check the Alternate radial button.
- The Maintain Standing Sales Orders screen will turn Lime Green, this tells us we're selecting and updating the Alternate Standing Order Template instead of the Default.
- Choose a Customer you'd like to enter an order for, your Delivery Period and set the Product Display to All Products.
- Update product quantities to reflect the alternate order. Press OK to save your changes once complete.
Your Alternate Standing Order has been created and is now available for use and can be generated! Follow the steps below to generate your new Alternate Standing Order.
Generating an Alternate Standing Sales Order:
- Return to the Sales Centre and select Generate Standing Orders.
- Select Alternate beneath the Date Selector and any Alternate Standing Orders for the selected date will appear.
- Press Generate. A progress bar will appear momentarily and your Orders will move from the left Customers with Orders to be Generated, to the righthand Sales Orders Generated.
- Your newly generated orders will be created based on the alternate Order Template and can be viewed from the Sales Centre set to view: All Open Orders.
When Generating Alternate Standing Sales Orders, ensure you do not accidently generate both the Default and Alternate.
