Editing A Schedule Production Item

Manufacturing is dynamic; last minute order changes, surprise raw material shortages or planning mistakes mean that you may need to make updates to production that has already been planned out.

This guide will take you through how to update products and recipes that have already been scheduled to adjust information like desired yield, batch size, start time, or assigned team.

Step 1

Open Schedule Production and locate the day containing the item(s) you want to edit.

Step 2

To edit an item, either:

  • Double-click on the item
  • Or, right-click on the item and select Edit
Step 3

A pop-up window appears, letting you update these production details:

  • Plant – The facility where production is scheduled
  • Shift – The assigned shift for the item
  • Team – The team responsible for production
  • Start Time – Planned start time for the item’s production
  • Number of Batches – Batches to be produced for this item
  • Batch Size – The yield per batch (useful if using different equipment and need to adjust how much can be handled per mix or run)
  • Quantity – The total quantity to be produced
Step 4

After updating the necessary production information, click OK to apply the changes.

Note: Editing a production item will overwrite any changes made to the production item, including unallocating raw materials that have already been allocated and changes to the actual yield.
