Required Quantities Are Not Reflecting Accurately on Schedule Production Screen

Problem

When on the Schedule Production screen, the product quantities reflected in the Required column in the grid at the bottom of the screen are inaccurate. 

Cause/Solution

The date range entered in the Analysis Preferences section did not consider your product lead times.

Review the product lead time.

  1. Access the Inventory Centre then click Maintain Products.
  2. Find and double click on the product or click on it once and click Edit at the bottom of the screen. 
  3. Click on the Production tab of the product.
  4. Review and update the Lead Time field if required.
  5. Click OK to save any changes.

Determine if the preference 'Assume production and delivery dates are the same' is enabled. 

  1. On the top Menu Bar click Administration then FlexiBake Preferences.
  2. Click on the Production Tab.
  3. Review if the Assume production and delivery dates are the same box is checked.
    1. If this box is checked your product lead times will be considered as -1 from what they have been set as. (eg. 2 = 1, 1= 0, 0 = -1)

Update the dates in the Analysis Preferences section.

Considering the product lead times and how they affect the Analysis Preference dates (a lead time of 1 will require the Analysis Preference dates include the date prior to delivery).

  1. Access the Production Centre then click Schedule Production.
  2. In the Analysis Preferences section update the From and To dates as required.
  3. Click the green arrow to refresh.

The Display option is restricting which products will display.

  1. In the middle of the screen, review what the Display option has been set to:
    1. All: All products will be displayed.
    2. Active: Only active products will be displayed, inactive products will not be displayed.
    3. Below Min: Only products that have had a minimum stock level set and are below that level will be displayed.
    4. On Order: Only products with on order quantities for the dates entered in the Analysis Preferences will be displayed.
    5. Required: Only products with on order quantities and an insufficient amount of on hand + scheduled quantities will be displayed. Note that the 'Assume Quantity Reqd = Quantity on Order' is not considered when this option has been selected. 
  2. Change the Display option as required.
