Setting a Minimum Stock Level for a Product
If you are looking to keep a consistent stock level on your products, or on a specific line of products then this article is for you. Minimum Stock Levels can be used to help Schedule Production based on the minimum quantities you have set. This article will teach you how to set those minimum levels as well as the places in the system where this information is accessible and beneficial.
Minimum Stock Levels can also be set up for Recipes if you like to have a certain amount of Work in Progress items or any other Recipes you can also set minimum stock levels for Recipes. - Navigate to the Inventory Centre then click on the Maintain Products button.
- Locate the product which you would like to set a Minimum Stock Level for from the grid, then double click to enter the product page, or click once to select the product then click Edit.. at the bottom of the screen.
- Navigate to the Production Tab, then you can add a Minimum Stock Level in the appropriate field. The stock level will be in the sell by unit, for this example, cases or cs.
- Click OK in the top right to save your product with this new Minimum Stock Level information.
