Update Product Weights On-The-Fly

Whether you ship through a carrier company or use your own trucks, having an estimated shipping or truck weights can be help you know what to expect. You can set up the product weight in the product profile, but in the case that this may have been overlooked or is incorrect, you can also update this information straight from a sales order to save some time!

Here's how:

1. Open up the sales order in question. To learn how to create a new sales order, check out our tutorial Add a New Sales Order.
   
   
   
2. At the bottom of the screen, to the left of the subtotal box, is the estimated Shipping Weight for the products on order.
   
   
   • If any products do not have weights entered, you will see a message in red text stating "Incomplete Weight Data"
     
     
3. Click on the words Shipping Weight.
    
   
   
4. A pop-up window will appear listing the items on order. You can enter the product weights in kilograms or pounds to your preference in their respective column.
   
   
   
5. When you've finished entering your product weights, click on the Update Product Weights button to save your changes. These weights will be saved to the product profile for future use.
   
   
   
6. Click Close to exit the pop-up.
