Update Raw Material Allocation on Consumed Production Item
If you notice that you have recorded raw material consumption incorrectly into a base recipe (a recipe consumed by another recipe or product) and you would like to update the record but find that it has already been consumed, you can update the record following the instructions below. If you see the warning message shown below, follow the instructions to update your traceability records.
If the production day has not yet been posted:
- In the Production Centre, open the product or recipe production record that has consumed the base recipe that you are needing to update.
- Click on the Unallocate Ingredients button.
- Click OK to save. The 'Production Completed' stamp will disappear from the top of the screen.
- Click Close to return to the Production Centre.
- Open the recipe production record that requires an update to the raw material allocation and make the necessary changes.
- Click OK to save.
- Open the product or recipe you opened in step 1 and reallocate ingredients as per your consumption.
If the production day has been posted:
- Open the record that you need to make changes to, and in the notes field enter notes about what was actually consumed.
- Click OK to save.
- In the Inventory Centre, add the wrongfully consumed inventory back into stock using an IA Slip Take-On.
- On a new IA Slip, adjust the on hand quantity of what was actually consumed.
