Updating an Allergen Declaration in the Ingredient Statement

Having allergens appear in the ingredients statement requires that allergens have been recorded on your ingredient raw materials. A guide on how to do this is available here: Record Allergens of a Raw Material

When adding allergen declarations to your ingredient statement, please ensure that they adhere to the regulations set out by your region's governing body. Information on the US FDA's regulations can be found here, and Canada's CFIA regulations here

Allergens are very important when selling a product. You want to ensure the safety to your consumers and make sure all regulations are being followed. Depending on the allergen labelling requirements laid out by your regulatory body, having your allergens appear in the ingredients list of your product may be an acceptable alternative to a dedicated allergen declaration statement. In this case, FlexiBake can save you time and effort by making the change for you automatically based on the allergens recorded on your ingredients!

You may enable allergens declarations to appear in ingredient statements by following these steps:

  1. On the top Menu Bar select FlexiBake Preferences from the Administration dropdown.

  2. Find and Select Products from FlexiBake Preferences and look for Ingredient Statement Options.

  3. Check the checkbox for "Include allergen declarations in Ingredient Statements" to enable the setting.

  4. Make sure to press 'OK' to save your changes.

Ingredient Lists will update and display the allergen in parenthesis beside the raw materials which include them, an example follows:

You may need to close and re-open any reports or products that you have to open to see the change reflected in your ingredients list!
