Version 2022.002

September 16th, 2022

Happy Friday! This Friday is extra-special, because we're celebrating our third IBIE Best in Baking award (in a row!) with a brand new FlexiBake update. We've got a good mix of new improvements, some enhanced reports and bug fixes in this one.

If you'll be at IBIE, we hope that you'll drop by and say hello!

Improvements

  • The Unspecified Program accounting export (CSV file) has been enhanced to capture tax charged on delivery fees
  • We want to save some trees by saving labels! Print Order Labels will now exclude sales orders that have been voided
  • The customer's account tab will now reflect non-standard aging periods set in FlexiBake Preferences
  • Posting Route Delivery Slips would get picky over service products and fully shorted items. We've prevented unnecessary warnings for those situations moving forward
  • DSD users: the Route End Of Day Emails To field has been expanded to allow up to 255 characters, in case you'd like to define multiple recipients for that a route's End of Day report
  • We've also expanded the character limits on the Email address and password fields in FlexiBake Preferences and on users to 255 characters each. This gives some wiggle room for using alternative email services, or ever-increasing security requirements
  • We've issued some fresh new versions of some of our reports:
    • The Route Distribution report received some significant performance improvements that dramatically improve the time taken to load, especially on large systems.
    • The Route Picklist report was also given a speed boost
    • The Production Costing report has had some updates on how raw materials are grouped on the report to make sure you see all the detail the report can give
    • The Production Summaries report has been updated to include production and receiving done on the end date of the specified date range
    • The Unsupported Unit Conversions report has been beefed up to catch unsupported conversions at every stage
    • The Packing Labels printable had some cosmetic work done so that it fits better on the page
    • The All Product On Order for Date Detail report now displays decimals in the breakdown of quantities per order, allowing the report to capture partial-unit sales in full detail
    • The compact style of the Base Product On Order report has had some calculation changes made to group base products into a single line with a grand total, making it even more compact!
  • We've moved! You can find our updated mailing address in the following spots:
    • On the splash page while logging into FlexiBake
    • In FlexiBake, by going Help in the upper menu bar and selecting About
  • Help Button in Sidebar now directs here, to our support portal. This way, if you're stuck on something, you can click the help button to check out the articles for help, or contact our support!

Bug Fixes

  • Analyse Returns sometimes like to separate returns with Credit Notes from returns without, leading to 2 lines. They're better together, so you'll only see one combined line from now on
  • We corrected some rounding issues in our Canadian nutritionals:
    • Calorie rounding for values between 5 and 50 now rounding to the nearest 5.
    • Calcium values weren't rounding properly on the Nutritional Label report
  • We've made some changes around Standing Sales Orders:
    • The SSO reports have been updated so the -1 notation no longer appears
    • SSO Overrides have likewise been modified to handle Zero-Quantity SSO notation, no more -1s!
    • Customers with Zero Quantity SSOs sometimes like to hang out in the Generate SSOs list when they didn't have to. We appreciate the spirit, but they'll only show on days they have an order now.
    • When updating open sales orders to account for changes to the Zero-Quantity SSO has some new behaviour: Items given a blank will now be removed from the order. Items given a 0 will not change. Don't use Zero-Quantity SSOs? Don't worry, nothing has changed!
  • We've added some crash preventions:
    • Service Products will always open to the Details tab, even when the Cost Analysis tab is set as the opening tab
    • Resolved a setting that could cause a crash when using the F3 key to search a supplier's raw materials in a Purchase Order
  • Ingredients statements have been updated:
    • Constituents were being shy and not showing in the ingredients statement. They're not hiding anymore!
    • The Group With Sugars Function is cleaning up after itself; no more sugar items left outside the group
  • Corrected a calculation issue in the Analysis Centre's Pie Charts
  •  The Reports drop-down was pulling the wrong report for Receiving Variance, we've set that straight
  • Corrected some flaws in the user interface and menus
