Version 2025.008

Release Date: June 6, 2025

Good news, everyone! Our latest FlexiBake release, hot out of the oven this Friday, is all about getting you where you need to be, faster. This small but powerful update focusses on improving performance and speed, so your day runs as smoothly as a well-oiled conveyer belt. As a bonus, we've also thrown in a couple bug fixes to make it that much sweeter.

New and Updated Features

Database Maintenance

The star of this show! This update is going to do some clean up on the back-end when you first log in. This will ensure that everything is in optimal shape, and cut down on the database size without sacrificing any of your data, allowing you to move around and pull reports more quickly. This process may take a minute or two to complete the first time someone logs in after the update.

Added Collision handling when closing Schedule Production

If you use Schedule Production, you may have multiple users in FlexiBake closing the production items at the same time or you might accidentally open the same item more than once. This can result in the same item being edited at the same time, causing conflicts and potentially inventory imbalances. We've made some changes so that the Close Production Item screen will check for changes before saving, and let you know if there have been so you can refresh to see the latest. We've also prevented the same item being opened more than once in your session, instead trying to open it again will bring up the window you already had open.

We've also spiffed things up in the Open Windows box on the left navigation bar: you can now see the name of the item each window is for to more easily help you locate a certain item in your open windows!

Bug Fixes

Corrected Production Date on Recipes to Produce report

The Recipes to produce report was showing the wrong date for the Production Date in the report title. We've sorted this out so that you can see the correct production date when pulling this report.

Resolved Duplicate Account error when account number already in use

When a new customer is created, FlexiBake auto-assigns them an account number. If an existing customer was given the next number in the sequence, this could cause an duplicate account number error creating a new customer. We've prevented this collision from happening so that no more errors will happen if an account number is already in use.
