DSD: White Screen on Sign-In? Clear the App Cache
If you log into the DSD and select the date for which you're delivering, only to end up on a blank screen when the device goes to sync, you may need to clear the app cache on your device to get rid of old data that was saved for later. Double check what you're experiencing against the symptoms below, and then proceed with this tutorial to learn how to remedy this.
Symptoms:
You navigate to https://metrixdsd.com or Open the App from your device.
You sign in and choose your day to sync today or tomorrow
A white screen follows where nothing comes up and nothing is synced.
If this matches what's happening to you, follow the follow instructions below on your android device to clear the app cache. Please note that these steps are general, the exact steps may vary depending on the model of your device and the version of the operating system being run.
The app cache (and how to clear it)
- Open the Settings of your phone.
- Tap the Storage heading to open its settings page.
- Tap the Other Apps heading to see a list of your installed apps.
- Find the application you want to clear the cache of and tap its listing.
- Tap the Clear cache button.
- Ensure you close the app entirely and restart the app before signing in again.
- If the above steps do not work – Delete and reinstall the MetrixDSD App from your System Specific App Store.
