Create a Virtual Storage Facility
A virtual storage facility in FlexiBake allows you to organize and manage your storage locations, replicate your real physical storehouses and increase accuracy when storing pallets, counting inventory, or picking products for shipping. This guide will show you how to create, configure, and set up a virtual store, including important hotkeys for adjusting cell types.

Why Set Up a Virtual Storage Facility?
Replicating your actual storage layout in FlexiBake helps reduce errors and boost efficiency in warehouse management. Proper setup ensures easier inventory tracking, pick planning, and space utilization.
Warning: Stores (Virtual Storage Room Management) and Palletizing modules require subscription access. Contact your account representative if you do not see these modules.
Steps to Create a Virtual Storage Facility
Enter the Stores Module
Step 1
On the top Menu Bar, click Activities, then under Inventory Related, select Maintain Stores.
Add a New Store and Define Dimensions

Click to Add New Store. Enter basic details and specify the number of aisles, levels, and racks to match your real facility layout.
Adjust and Configure Racks/Cells
Step 3
Before making changes to individual cells, complete all aisle (row) adjustments. Changing an aisle after individual cells have been modified will erase those changes and make require you to start over.
Step 4
Adjust rack and level settings as necessary for your specific storage needs. Only pushback racks automatically replicate across levels. Accessways and reserved racks must be assigned per level.
Configure Cell Types Using Hotkeys
Step 5
Select a cell (rack position) and use the following hotkeys to assign its type:
- X = Accessway
- R = Reserved
- P = Pushback
- S = Regular Cell
Note: Stores may be adjusted to a specific type by selecting them and pressing the related hotkey above.
Step 6
Click OK to save your changes to the store. If coordinate labels do not appear, close and reopen the store window to refresh.

Repeat cell adjustments for each required level in your store.

Hover above any cell to view stored products. Drag pallets between cells as required.

Note: if you have pallets that are able to be double-stacked, you can then place 2 pallets in a selective rack. To check which products are able to be double stacked, or to set a product as double-stackable, please check the product's palletizing information.
