Overview
Sales taxes must be enabled before you can create tax rules, build tax profiles, or apply taxes to customers, products, and sales orders. This setup is useful if your region requires taxes to be calculated during order entry or invoicing.
Warning: Make sure you understand the tax rules for your region before enabling and configuring sales taxes in FlexiBake.
Before You Begin
You will need access to FlexiBake Preferences and the Accounting tab. After completing this setup, continue with Create a Sales Tax Profile and Set Sales Taxes so taxes can be used in transactions.
Enable Sales Taxes in FlexiBake
Step 1
Navigate to the Menu Bar, open the FlexiBake Administration drop-down, and click Preferences.
Step 2
Click the Accounting tab. In the Sales Taxes section, select Enable Sales Taxes.
Step 3
Choose how taxes should appear in FlexiBake by selecting Display Codes or Display Names.
Step 4
Click OK to save your changes.
Tip: Not seeing taxes on your sales orders or invoices? Even if your tax profiles are set up, you must also create and assign the underlying tax rates for the system to calculate them.
