Enter and schedule production to match the exact quantity of products in your open sales orders, reducing waste and streamlining your bakery’s daily workflow.

Why Use ‘Based on Qty Ordered’?

This feature in FlexiBake allows you to automate production quantities based on your actual open sales orders. Use it to:

  • Align your bake processes to real customer demand
  • Reduce overproduction and inventory waste
  • See only products needed for the day for a cleaner, actionable view

Preparation

Access the Production Centre

Before entering production, ensure all relevant sales orders are entered and up-to-date.

Entering Production Based on Quantity Ordered

Step 1
  • Go to the Production Centre and click Enter Production.Navigating to Enter Production in FlexiBake

 

Step 2
  • Select your Production Date for the run.

Step 3
  • Make sure Populate based on quantity ordered is checked, then click Refresh to automatically fill in quantities needed for open sales orders.Populate based on quantity ordered checkbox

Tip: Enable Hide Zero Quantity to Produce to only display products that are required within the production grid, making the view easier to manage

Step 4
  • (Optional) Use the Round Up To Next Full Batch checkbox if you want to ensure efficient mixing or batch handling. Click the green refresh arrow to update batch quantities.

Tip: Any products' quantity requirement that has been 'rounded up' will display in green text to alert the user

 
Step 5
  • (Optional) Check Ignore Shipped Quantities if you’ve shipped some orders but still want those quantities included in today’s production.

Step 6
  • Review and adjust quantities as needed before saving. Click Save to save the scheduled production for that date.

Tip: You can manually adjust quantities if you want to round up or add buffer stock.

After Entering Production

Generating Production Reports

  • Use the Enter Production Reports button to generate production sheets like Baker’s Sheet or Detailed Production Sheet. These reports show what needs to be produced per department, per product, or even products to slice based on your planned run

Posting Production

  • Once production is complete, post the run to lock in numbers and update inventory. FlexiBake will consume raw materials and add finished products to your stock automatically—provided inventory levels are sufficient
