Step-by-step instructions for finalizing enter production runs and updating inventory in FlexiBake
Why Posting Production is Important
When a production run is complete in FlexiBake, posting the production day finalizes quantities, adjusts inventory levels, and creates declared finished products. This process:

Ensures accurate ingredient consumption — applies FIFO (First In, First Out) rules for raw materials.

Prevents editing of completed runs — locks the production records to preserve accuracy.

Adds finished goods to stock — so they are available for order fulfillment.
Tip: Always double-check production quantities before posting, as posted runs cannot be edited.
Steps to Post Enter Production
Step 1
Navigate to the Production Centre and select the date you wish to post.
Step 2:
Click Enter Production for the selected date.

If production was already entered, the Save button will be greyed out.

If it was not entered, click Save to proceed.
Step 3:
Confirm the “Quantity Produced” matches your actual production.
Caution: Incorrect quantities will result in inaccurate inventory consumption and finished goods totals.
Step 4:
Click Post. A confirmation message will appear. Click Yes to continue.
A progress bar will indicate that FlexiBake is calculating ingredient usage and creating declared products, if successful, you'll receive a related message.
Step 5:
If Inventory and Consumption features are enabled, FlexiBake will:

Automatically deduct raw materials from inventory based on FIFO.

Display a list of shortages if any materials are below required levels.
Note: If shortages occur, add the required materials to inventory, then re-post the production day to finalize and add finished goods.
