Set Product Prices Within a Price Tier

This article explains how to set and maintain specific product prices within a price tier in FlexiBake. Price tiers are used to manage custom pricing for different groups of customers, such as wholesale clients or high-volume buyers.

What are Product Price Tiers?

A price tier allows you to assign special product prices to a group of customers based on agreed conditions (volume, type, contract, etc.). If a price isn’t entered for a tier or a customer isn’t assigned, FlexiBake defaults to the standard product price.

Note: To use price tiers, ensure both tiers and customers are assigned appropriately. See Create Price Tiers and Assign a Price Tier to a Customer for setup help.

Bulk Price Adjustment Options

FlexiBake provides multiple methods to update prices across products in bulk:

  • Adjust product prices by (%): Increase or decrease all current prices within a price tier by a fixed percentage. Enter a positive value (e.g., 10) to raise prices or a negative value (e.g., -10) to lower prices. Useful for applying inflation adjustments or temporary discounts across a whole tier.

  • Set product prices to achieve GP%: Specify a gross profit percentage you want for a line of products, and FlexiBake will calculate new prices automatically to meet that margin. This works for all listed products, but be aware products with $0 cost will result in $0 price for that product.

  • Discount product prices to std. by (%): Applies a discount to each product in the price tier to achieve a precent based price update.

After entering the desired adjustment(s), click Apply Bulk Adjustment to preview and automatically recalculate prices for all visible products in the grid.

Warning: Bulk price updates will take effect immediately after you confirm and save your changes by clicking OK—review changes carefully before saving.

Rounding Rules for Tier Prices

FlexiBake includes flexible rounding options to help you maintain consistent and policy-compliant pricing:

  • Round Up to the Nearest (Whole Number) - Enter 1 and all prices will be rounded up to the nearest whole number after your adjustments.

  • End Prices With - Set all prices to consistently end with a particular value (for example, .99 or .49). FlexiBake will automatically adjust prices so that every price ends with your chosen digits when processed.

After selecting your desired rounding method and entering a value, press Apply Rounding to reflect those changes

Bulk Price Adjustments by GP% (Auto-Calculate)

Step 4

Optionally, enter a target Gross Profit % (GP%) for a product in the GP% column. Enable the Auto-Calculate box to let FlexiBake automatically recalculate and update prices.
Auto-Calculate - gp%

Tip: Setting GP% just once per product with Auto-Calculate on means future cost changes will automatically update the price to hit your margin each time you open into the Price Tier in Maintain Price Tiers. This requires you to press OK to save the pre-populated changes.

Step 5

Click OK to apply your changes and update the tier prices.

Warning: On save, you’ll see a warning if changes will update product prices for the tier. Confirm your changes before proceeding.

Reviewing Adjusted Prices

Any time product cost changes, revisit Maintain Product Prices to see New Tier Price values calculated for you automatically when using GP% with Auto-Calculate. Save changes by clicking OK in each tier as needed.
