Taxes are not Calculating at Sales Order Level
Problem
Taxes are not calculating in subtotal section of a sales order even though a tax profile has been assigned to the order.
Cause/Solution
Sales taxes are not enabled.
- On the top Menu Bar click Administration then FlexiBake Preferences.
- Click on the Accounting tab.
- In the Sales Taxes subsection, check the Enable Sales Taxes box.
- Click OK to save.
The tax profile does not have a tax rate assigned.
- On the top Menu Bar click Administration then Maintain Sales Tax Profiles.
- From the Tax Profile drop down, select the tax profile.
- In the middle of the window, in the Taxes Linked To This Tax Profile ensure there is a record and it is reflecting a percentage.
- If this window is not reflecting that a tax is linked to the tax profile please follow the steps in our associated tutorial to set tax rules and assign them to the tax profile. This tutorial is available as Set Tax Rules .
The customer is set as tax-exempt.
- Access the Sales Centre then click Maintain Customers.
- Find the associated customer and double click on them or click on them once and click Edit at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on the Billing Details tab.
- From the Tax Profile option, select the blank option.
- Click OK to save.
