Assign a Driver to a Route

Assign a driver to a delivery route in FlexiBake so route ownership and driver commission tracking can be managed correctly.

Overview

Assigning a driver to a route helps keep delivery operations organized in FlexiBake. This setup is useful when the same driver regularly services a route or earns commission based on deliveries.

Before You Begin

Before you assign a driver to a route, make sure the employee has already been marked as a Driver in their employee profile.

Warning: Only employees marked as Driver can be selected in the Driver field when assigning a route.

Open Manage Routes

Navigate to the Shipping Centre and click Manage Routes.
Shipping Centre screen with the Manage Routes button selected

Select the Route

Step 1

Click the route name heading for the route you want to update.

Step 2

Click Edit Route from the menu on the right side of the window.

Related Setup

If the employee is not yet available in the Driver drop-down, update their employee profile and mark them as a driver first.

Tip: If you haven't created an Employee or Driver you can find out how in Add an Employee and Mark an Employee as a Driver.

After assigning the driver to the route, continue with route sequencing and other route delivery setup tasks as needed.

Note: For Direct Store Delivery setup, see Assigning Drivers to Routes (DSD) for route assignment instructions that include Day of Week and Delivery Period configuration.
