Version 2020.002
March 13th, 2020
Here at FlexiBake, we're not superstitious (maybe just a little stitious), so this Friday the 13th we're bringing out the second update of the year! This new version predominantly focussed on small improvements to day-to-day functions, with a few new features sprinkled in to keep it exciting.
New Improvements:
- FlexiBake has a new look! Check out our new sidebar, which boasts all the same functionality in a pretty new package.
- The Management Center is now going by a new name: the Analysis Centre! Because that's where you do all your analysis, dontcha know?
- Thanks to Web Order Categories, you can have have customer-facing product categories in the Online Ordering Portal that are different from your internal product categories that you use to filter reports and analyse sales. Learn more in our tutorial Web Order Categories
- Lost, need help or want to learn something new? The
button at the bottom of the new sidebar will take you directly to our support portal (Here!), where you can find hundreds of articles containing tutorials, YouTube videos, troubleshooting, and staff recommendations, as well as a built-in direct chat with our customer service and support teams.
- Our new Allergen Matrix makes it quick and easy to determine where allergens are or may be present in your ingredients and products. Unfortunately, Keanu Reeves isn't in this one, sorry!
- Adding allergen information is now quicker and easier, as you can now use the Allergen Matrix to add or edit allergen information on your raw materials all in one place.
- You can find more information on the Allergen Matrix in our article The Allergen Matrix
- A rogue second scaling weight field had popped up underneath the 'Pieces' field on the Baker's Sheet report. We fixed up this double-trouble by removing it and the report is nice and pretty.
- We've relabelled the "User Name" field on the user profile to "Email Address" to reduce confusion and prevent SMTP errors from incorrect information being entered here.
- Good communication is key to any working relationship, so we improved communication between the DSD and FlexiBake.
Bug Fixes
- Enter Production would sometimes have a hard time letting go, and would ask for both the old and new products if a product was swapped for another on a sales order using a specific sequence of events. After some counseling, it has learned to let go when refreshed and only look at the present, order quantities that is.
- Test mode in the label maker was having trouble with displaying ingredients statements, and was forgetting about stored ingredients lists. In the interest of being green and saving paper, we fixed this issue so that Test mode will show you how your label should look before you print it out.
- Swapping products on a credit note by deleting the product code and typing a new one was sometimes causing a mismatch between the product name and code. We've sorted it out and it won't be happening any longer.
